Tropico 5 turns you into a true dictator of a country that you will shape yourself. As the region grows your pockets will thicken exponentially increasing the profit figure, although this may end up turning against you.

Rich leaders are not well regarded by many people around the world, some of whom will fight to get your head in violent wars that you will be able to avoid if you take the right actions. At all times you must strive for the good of the subjects and the inhabitants in general, since your own economy, which is so important in Tropico 5, will depend on it.

Practically everything has to do with the economic aspect. Every political decision can make you lose huge amounts of money or get even richer. Being corrupt is the order of the day in the country, although you better delinquency with subtlety, otherwise you will end up causing a revolution that will probably culminate in your dismissal and even something more serious. No country, however small it may be, can be maintained without a constitution which you must shape by adding the articles you consider necessary. Other tasks will have to be carried out by you: construction of structures on the island, establishment of laws and a very long etcetera.
